La Stigmatisation est un phénomène global auquel sont confrontés toutes les psychiatries du monde. Ce webinaire propose de se centrer sur des contributions francophones récentes. La première présentation évoquera un travail original montrant comment une approche orientée sur le rétablissement peut aider dans cette lutte globale (Dr. Julien Dubreucq). La seconde présentation montrera comment cette lutte se décline dans un pays francophone relevant de la catégorie des pays dont les ressources sont plus limitées (Low An Middle Income Countries) (Prof. Uta Ouali). Ces interventions seront discutées par le Prof. Michel Botbol et le Dr. Amine Larnaout qui, par leur engagement dans la gouvernance de la WPA, sont directement impliqués dans la lutte contre ce défi mondial.

Stigmatization is a global phenomenon that tackles psychiatrists all over the world. This webinar will focus on contributions from French-speaking countries. The first one will present a recent work showing how a recovery-oriented approach could help in this global stake (Dr. Julien Dubreucq). The second will show how fighting against stigmatization is developed in a French-speaking low and middle-income country (Prof. Uta Oual). These interventions will be discussed by Prof. Michel Botbol and Dr. Amine Larnouat who are both, as WPA officers, involved in this global issue.

Dr. Amine Larnaout

Department of psychiatry D, Razi Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Tunis El Manar University Amine Larnaout et un jeune psychiatre professeur assistant à l’hopital Universitaire Razi a Tunis. Il est actuellement le Représentant de la WPA pour la zone Afrique du Nord . Il a été impliqué dans plusieurs projets de recherche et parmi eux, un projet sur l’immuno psychiatrie (2016). Il aussi l’un des responsable du Programme Clinique de jeune a au risque de developper des troubles mentaux sévères. I am an early career psychiatrist serving as an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry in Razi University Hospital. Currently, I serve as Northern Africa Zone Representative in the World Psychiatric Association. I have been involved in several research projects among others a project on immuno-psychiatry in 2016. I am also a leading member in the Clinical High Risk Program in Tunisia that aims to detect and help people at risk of developing severe mental disorders.

Hôpital Razi La Manouba ; Faculté de Médecine de Tunis, Université de Tunis El Manar, Tunisie Razi Hospital La Manouba, University of Tunis El Manar Medical School / Tunisia Uta Ouali currently works as a senior psychiatrist at Razi Hospital La Manouba and is a lecturer at the University of Tunis El Manar Medical School/ Tunisia. She is the site lead for Tunisia and a co-investigator of the INDIGO-Partnership Research Programme, a large multi-national project aimed at reducing stigma and discrimination of people with mental health problems, led by Prof. Thornicroft at King’s College London, UK. Her main clinical and research interests are in the areas of mental health stigma reduction, early intervention in psychiatry and mood disorders.
